N. caerulea Savigny

N. caerulea Savigny is a species lily with an almost white base violet blue tips with green pads. It is a native of North and Central Africa. It is also known as the Sacred Blue Lotus of the Nile. At one point Ken had the opportunity to help reseed the lily to the country of Egypt. It was thought to be extinct. He produced thousands of seeds to give to the government there.

The following are historically significant photos taken by Ken Landon. Do not link to or copy without express written permission from Mr. Landon.
